ACV9S2 Karin 6663. And as they afflicted it, so it was multiplied. That this signifies that truths grew according to the infestations, is evident from the signification of “afflicting,” as being infestation; and from the signification of “being multiplied,” as being to grow in respect to truths (of which above, n. 6656). How the case herein is shall be told, because without experience of what is done in the other life, no one can now know what it is. Most spirits who come from the world and have lived the life of the Lord’s commandments, before they can be uplifted… Read more »

ACV9S2-Judy #6652…”…. Memory-knowledges alienated from the internal are memory-knowledges opposed to the church; for the good and truth which make the church flow in through the internal; and if these are not received by the natural, the internal is closed, and so the man is alienated from good and truth, and then no other memory-knowledges which are in the natural are acknowledged as truths than those which are false. These are then multiplied, and the truths themselves are cast out of doors.” Principle: The flow of life needs to be from the internal to the external. Task: Try to be awake… Read more »

6650 And there arose a new king over Egypt,” signifies separated memory-knowledges which are opposed to the truths of the church; “who knew not Joseph,” signifies which were completely alienated from the internal; “and he said unto his people,” signifies subordinate memory-knowledges; “Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are many and numerous more than we,” signifies that the truths of the church prevail over alienated memory-knowledges; “come, let us use prudence with it,” signifies cunning; “peradventure it will be multiplied, and it will be that wars will happen,” signifies prevalence if it grows; “and it will also join… Read more »

EXTRACT FROM 6663 ‘… the Lord’s kingdom is a kingdom of usefulness, and therefore nothing can take place there unless good can come out of it.’  PRINCIPLES APPARENT  + If we reside in the Lord’s kingdom everything that takes place can be of use to Him.  + If we reside in the Lord’s kingdom good will come out of everything that happens to us. PRINCIPLES-BASED TASKS  1) I ask the Lord to awaken in me the ‘experience of self’ in His kingdom. 2) I pray (after Cardinal Newman): I trust Him, whatever I am, for I can never be thrown… Read more »

I have asked the Lord to awaken in me the ‘experience of self’ in his kingdom. I am trying to appreciate here, the difference between “I am a self“ to “as of self“. Asking the Lord for this involves placing myself in His hands with an attitude of trust and surrender. I must develop humility to recognise my total dependence upon him, to surrender my will and place myself as fully as possible in alignment with Divine Providence. Of course, a lot of this depends upon when I can be so recollected, and there is the problem. This state of… Read more »

6652. Who knew not Joseph. That this signifies which were completely alienated from the internal, is evident from the signification of “not knowing,” as being to be alienated; for he who does not know truth, and does not desire to know it, is alienated from the truth of the church. Memory-knowledges alienated from the internal are memory-knowledges opposed to the church; for the good and truth which make the church flow in through the internal; and if these are not received by the natural, the internal is closed, and so the man is alienated from good and truth, and then… Read more »

I had an epic fail at keeping to my task. A number of things helped to distract me.   The first one was pain, I find it difficult to keep my mind thinking spiritually when I am in pain. Though I did tell those evil spirits to leave me and I listened to some good meditations that helped me switch off from it at times.   The second one was the world events, wars and humanitarian crises. I can certainly see evil playing out in the world at the moment but it is difficult not to get worried about how awful… Read more »

6663: and as they afflicted it, so it was multiplied. This signifies that truths grew according to the infestations….The infestations take place by their being immersed in their evils and falsities;  6666: And the Egyptians made the sons of Israel to serve. This signifies an intention to subjugate. Task: There’s been resistance around this task, because I think I’m still working with the last one. There’s a need to be more established and awake to the quality of my interior states, in the moment…..is there a harshness or a lightness, is there rigidity or gentleness….can I become more sensitive to this whilst… Read more »

6669.4: But in the following places “clay” stands for good: In Isaiah, “Now, O Jehovah, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You are our potter; and we are all the work of Your hands. “The clay” stands for the member of the Church who is being formed, thus for the good of faith by means of which that person is formed, that is, reformed.
Principle: We are vessels receiving life from the Lord and it is not our own.
Task: Remind myself that I’m a receptacle and not be arrogant but humble.

AC 6663: Most spirits who come from the world and have lived the life of the Lord’s commandments, before they can be uplifted into heaven and joined to societies there, are infested by the evils and falsities pertaining to them, to the end that they may be removed (see n. 6639); for there are impurities which they have contracted in the life of the body that in no wise agree with heaven. The infestations take place by their being immersed in their evils and falsities; and while they are in them, spirits who are in like evils and falsities are… Read more »

AC 6655… and among them those are acknowledged as intelligent and wise who seem to them to be able to invalidate and destroy truths by falsities, by whatever artifice or malice they effect. Submission: Personalities, time zones, different landscapes and spaces – are set aside so that a picture can be painted and brought to life by the collective workings of the Word as the Lord Himself. Each is offered, one by one, adding to enhance the image: the colours, the textures, the contrasts of light, the relational aspects or an infilling of another part of the picture. The transcription of the proprial wisdom is evidenced (or seen) in the willingness of this human image (that is forming), to let go of what it thinks the picture should look like, what it thinks… Read more »

AC 6669. In clay, and in bricks. That this signifies by reason of the evils which they contrived, and the falsities which they devised, is evident from the signification of “clay,” as being good, and in the opposite sense evil; and from the signification of “bricks,” as being the falsities which they devise.

Principle: The signification of “clay”, as being good, and in the opposite sense evil.

Task: Observe and reflect on the two types of clay within.

AC 5660:3 People with the gift of a heavenly sense of autonomy also have serenity and peace. They trust in the Lord, believe that nothing bad can touch them, and know that perverse desires will not plague them. The “potter’s vessel” in the Word signifies either the false or the true. When I read AC 5660:3, the “potter’s vessel” that is false, wanted to remodel the good (the clay) within the reading ….. yes this is a Truth but not for you, not in your life experience. Seeing the activity of falsity wanting to reform the Truth, brought about a shift in… Read more »

Was reading this the other day and I’ve suddenly just now realised how beautifully it speaks to what I heard in this submission … the hardness of the clay initially versus the suppleness in its state where it is able to be worked with and formed into something in His hands. CL 361. The reason why a man is on fire when his love is attacked shall now be disclosed. From its creation, the human form in its inmosts is a form of love and wisdom. In man, all affections of love and thence all perceptions of wisdom are arranged… Read more »

6655. Come, let us use prudence with it. That this signifies cunning, is evident from the signification of “prudence,” when said of the evil, who have been alienated from truth and good, as being cunning; for that which the evil do from cunning, and also from deceit, they call prudence… They who are of this character in the world become worse in the other life,.. Those who are true men of the church are so far removed from cunning that they absolutely abhor it; and those of them who are as the angels, desire that if it were possible their… Read more »
