What does it look like to really believe that I have no life in myself, that I am nothing and the Lord is all? My proprium has a reaction against the word “nothing“. No, I am something! I matter! Hi Dianna – it looks exactly like when we believe we have life in our self. Well, maybe not exactly because the way we process things is very different. But the idea that we have no life doesn’t negate the “as of self” principle. The Word states plainly that the Lord alone has life, all others are recipients of life, we feel that life as if it were our own, so we have a responsibility to live it in accordance with what the Word asks of us while acknowledging that the feeling that we have life in ourselves is an… Read more »
