Welcome to the Logopraxis end of year newsletter. Christmas day is almost here and my wish for you all is that you experience deeper sense of the Lord's presence affirmed as the Word working in your life to regenerate the human mind. That wish is drawn from what the Word Itself points to so far as the spiritual meaning of the term "Advent" is concerned. There we find that the Lord's coming occurs whenever truth enters into the thought from the Word. Isn't that a wonderful concept. Here's a few numbers that I've been sitting with from the work Arcana Coelestia...

"...when it is said that Joseph should go and see the peace of his brethren, the coming of the Lord is signified. By every coming is meant whenever truth from the Word flows into the thought." (AC 4712)

"God came to Abimelech. That this signifies the Lord’s perception concerning the doctrine of faith, is evident from the signification of “God coming,” and from the signification of “Abimelech.” That “God coming” signifies to perceive, is evident, for perception is nothing else than the Divine advent or influx into the intellectual faculty." (AC 2513)

"And they saw the God of Israel. That this signifies the coming and presence of the Lord in the Word, is evident from the signification of “seeing,” when it is the Lord who is seen, as being, His coming and presence...That the coming and presence of the Lord in the Word is signified, is because the Word is the Divine truth that proceeds from the Lord, and that which proceeds from the Lord, is the Lord Himself. And therefore they who read the Word and at the same time look to the Lord-acknowledging that all truth and all good are from Him, and nothing from themselves-are enlightened, and see truth and perceive good, from the Word. This enlightenment is from the light of heaven, which light is the Divine truth itself that proceeds from the Lord, for this appears as light before the angels in heaven..." (AC 9405)

"For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this." (Isa 9:6-7)

Logopraxis Recess Dates
|
|
Many of the LP Life Groups are now in recess. Those groups that follow the online group schedule will return in February 2022. The first reading for the year will be posted on the week beginning Mon 31st of Jan, and meetings will recommence two weeks later on the week beginning Mon 14th of Feb. For those other groups who are not following the online group schedule please check with your facilitator regarding scheduling.

The Logopraxis Logo
|
Many of you will have noticed that the Logopraxis logo has been reworked (see above). This was done to better reflect through colour and symbol the regenerative journey Logopraxis takes us on.
|
|
The large outer circle symbolizes the Lord as He is in Himself, Infinite and Eternal. The crimson band represents the Lord’s Essence, this being the Divine Love and Wisdom. The shaded blue fill represents the reception of this in the heavens or minds of angels. The larger of the two white circles represents the Spiritual Sun and the smaller white circle represents the human soul. Both represent the Divine Human of the Lord on the universal and particular scales of existence. The black labyrinth symbol represents the natural mind. The maze is circular representing the spiral-circular experience of the processes involved in practical spiritual work. The line joining the two white circles represents the influx of the Lord's life into the human mind and its return. Finally the gaps in the labyrinth represent remains or the affections of good and truth that open the way and make our salvation possible.

New Logopraxis Video - A Logopraxis Fishbowl

One of the projects recently completed is an instructional video that takes viewers step by step through an online Logopraxis Life Group meeting. While the video is designed to give those new to, or considering participating in LP, a sense of what happens in a meeting it also serves as a useful refresher for seasoned practitioners on the principles that underpin Logopraxis group life. The video includes text cues and instructional voice over sections that expand on what's happening and highlight the structures and key principles that guide LP group life.
