Task 1: Which traces of religionism that remain in my ministries need rooting out at this point & which truths may draw near to dispel them? Identify how good suitable to this religionism in me, has served my neighbour and myself in the interim. New Age spirituality: Am I ashamed of my engagement with this modern lingua franca of spiritual life in the West, in my early years of seeking when under stress? Are there any falsities from this time (usually truths cut off from their religious roots, which is not helpful) that are still clinging to me, despite triumphing… Read more »
Before my submission for Task 2 below, I tuned into David’s talk on Garden Consciousness, as part of the LP Online Retreat. For me, it clarified how to describe the New Age movement – a separate sense of self/ self-conscious, a belief in self (cult of self-help), loss of all spiritual intelligence & wisdom, reasoning from the senses/ challenging the Word/ affection for knowledge of spiritual matters but not living it/ robbed of all sense of personal meaning & purpose that are constantly being sought in this sphere. A harsh judgement indeed, but apt. The New Age movement attempts to… Read more »
Task 2: In my interaction with the neighbour in various capacities, what is my attitude towards supporting them on the various steps of plane one of their regeneration – one of compassionate care or …? Can I practice my recognition of where they are in a particular circuit of growth & am I an agent of the Lord’s wisdom – drawing attention to the truths drawing near & the goods being insinuated into them? ACV9 6739 And his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, signifies the truth of the Church near to the religionism there – evident from the signification of “sister,” as being the truth of the church (see n. 6727); and from the signification of “Pharaoh’s daughter,” as being the religiosity there (n. 6729). Near is signified by her being at hand when Pharaoh’s daughter opened the ark. Context: After curiosity, investigation & acknowledgement that a truth is from the Divine. Before seeing that good from wisdom needs to be insinuated into it, then consent for the action of this part of the process,… Read more »

The sense of the two week cycle is that my mind has been immersed in false memory-knowledges but regardless of the internal disorders and disruptions, there’s been an affection of wanting to wash in the river, to investigate. Could this be a truth of low value to see this internal state?

Logopraxis 6728 to 6753 6729 the “daughter of Egypt” denotes the affection of reasoning about the truths of faith, whether a thing be so, from memory-knowledges, when what is negative reigns; thus it denotes the religiosity which thence arises, which is of such nature that nothing but falsity is believed. 6737. And she had compassion on him. That this signifies admonition from the Divine, is evident from the signification of “having compassion,” as being an influx of charity from the Lord; for when anyone from charity sees another in misery (as here Pharaoh’s daughter saw the child in the ark… Read more »

ACV9S5-Judy #6737….”Moreover, when they who are in perception feel compassion, they know that they are admonished by the Lord to give aid.” Principle: True compassion comes from the Lord through perception given and requires action. Task: How does this apply to the internal sense? Observations: Experience was given on an external level where the opposite, as usual, came up and showed what was not actually compassionate thought because it contained much of self even though it had been carefully considered. Instead it caused much mental angst on the part of the recipient as well as on the deliverer of the… Read more »
6745 [2] That “to suckle” denotes to insinuate good is plain from the signification of a “nurse,” or of one that gives suck, as being the instilling of good 6751 “to be to her as a son” denotes to be in the first truths by means of memory-knowledges; for the first truths are born from memory-knowledges, and thus are as sons from a mother, which is the affection of memory-knowledges. Submission Our little grandson arrived late, so he was only one day old when we met him. Watching the tenderness that his mother shows him and the gentle way she encouraged him to suckle really made me comprehend the teaching about instilling goodness in to a baby in those first vital few months. A newborn is so helpless but we all just want to care for him and love him so much. This big brother is so gentle at stroking his head and so proud to tell his friends at Daycare about his new brother. The earliest years of learning… Read more »

This is clear in Matthew: All things whatever you wish people to do to you, do also to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matt. 7:12. Here the Word is divided into the historical section and the prophetic part, it follows the ‘the Law’ is used to mean the historical section of the Word, and ‘the Prophets’ to mean the prophetical part. A similar example occurs in the same gospel, On these two commandments hang the Law and the Prophets. Matt. 22:40. Task:… Read more »

Submission It seems to be speaking of how the reception of even a small amount of true knowledge is enough to awaken an interior process, and longing; and make possible the perception of higher forms of truth, when received from a place affection. ”for those who have, more shall be given” and this generates in us the desire to ‘wash’ and cleanse the mind from the ‘filth’ of spiritual falsity. The insinuation of this appetite is mysterious, and seems to be woven, from beginning to end, through the whole life. As well, it’s so interesting to investigate and identify the… Read more »
