7097. I know not Jehovah. That this signifies that they do not care for the Lord, is evident from the signification of “not knowing,” as being not to care, for he who does not care, says that he does not know. (That by “Jehovah” is meant the Lord, see n. 7091.) 7086. It is said “love to God,” and there is meant love to the Lord, because in Him is the Trinity, and He is the Lord of heaven, for He has “all power in heaven and on earth” (Matt. 28:18). 7083. The heat and light in the natural world… Read more »

PRINCIPLE “Faith without love is like light without heat, as is the light of winter; and faith with love is like light with heat, as is the light of spring.” TEXT 7086. TASK Work this “love to God” and “love to the Lord” as drivers to loving the neighbor. See how Jesus Christ, the Father, and the Holy Spirit can be made… Read more »
7081. The very life of man is his love; and such as his love is, such is his life; nay, such is the whole man. But it is the ruling or reigning love, that is, the love of that which he has as the end, which makes the man. This love has subordinate to itself many particular and singular loves, which are derivations, and appear under a different shape; but still the ruling love is in each one of them, and directs them, and through them, as through mediate ends, looks to and aims at its end, which is the… Read more »
Starting with some positives that I came up with, I love to move, I love nature, babies and to help people, especially new mothers. On the negative side I listened to a whole lot of podcasts about NDIs and I noticed how many of them were about hell. Partly people that were on a wrong path being shown which way they were heading, but also people just being asked by the Lord to warn people that hell is real. There is a strong movement in the world to deny hell in these times, or to soften it, or say that… Read more »

AC:7087In this chapter in the internal sense the subject of the infestation by falsities of those who are of the spiritual church is continued. First those who were infesting are treated of-that they paid no attention whatever to the Divine exhortation; and next that afterward they infested still more, by injecting fallacies and fictitious falsities, which those who belonged to the spiritual church could not shake off; and as in this condition they could not remove from themselves those who were infesting, they lamented before the Divine...7088… “Thus said Jehovah the God of Israel,” signifies that it was from the Divine… Read more »

7093 “And let them hold a feast to Me in the wilderness” means in order that they may worship the Lord with gladness of mind, in the obscurity of faith they live in. This is clear from the meaning of “holding a feast” as worship offered with gladness of mind. The reason why “holding a feast” means offering worship with gladness of mind is that they were to hold the feast three days’ journey away from Egypt thus not in a state when molested by falsities but in a state of freedom. For a person who is delivered from falsities… Read more »

Observation: Moses & Aaron, and what they represent, coming to Pharaoh, and what he and his magicians represent, and Commanding Pharaoh to let the people go a way of 3 days [States], and what that represents, to a place [state] quite removed from falsity, in order to Sacrifice

This session was a bit of a spiritual re-awakening. I became aware of “firsts and lasts” that were not of the Lord. Of particular and singular loves, which were derivations, and appeared under a different shape!! Is the “shape” real, or is it an appearance, under the influence of Pharaoh’s magicians? How do my thoughts and feelings plot, do, apply and defend, or Shape what I say, and how I act? Which led to the remembrance of HH 463. And how all this places me in a “consociation” with spiritual “neighbors”, who may or may not know Jehovah. And the… Read more »
