ACV9 6861 Summary Exodus 3:9-12 “when thou has brought forth the people out of Egypt,” signifies when the spiritual are liberated from infestation by falsities; “ye shall worship God near this mountain,” signifies then perception and acknowledgment of the Divine from love. AC 6872 Ye shall worship God upon this mountain. That this signifies then perception and acknowledgment of the Divine from love, is evident from the signification of “worshiping God,” as being adoration of the Divine, but when said of the Lord, it denotes the perception and acknowledgment of the Divine in the Human; and from the signification of… Read more »

Submission: How do I celebrate being saved by the Lord? I listened to a sermon by Bishop Peter Buss Snr on our Elijah state vs. our Elisha state of deliverance that gave me a clear picture of moving into more peaceful states acting from life principles (Elisha) vs. consciously fighting evil from self-compulsion (Elijah). This simple understanding was comforting and a celebration in itself. With it came a tension however, between having a rule of life (my spiritual practices) and my wish to lean into creative freedom (existere), or differently put; a tension between working directly with the Word vs.… Read more »

Part of 6864 …. It is added that infesting falsities would be dispersed, namely, by the holy proceeding from the Lord’s Human, because in what follows the subject treated of is the liberation of the sons of Israel, that is, of those who were of the Lord’s spiritual church, from falsities; from which they can in no wise be liberated except by the holy which proceeds from the Lord. For the holy proceeding from the Lord not only disperses infesting falsities, but also reduces all things into Divine order, both those which are in the heavens, and those which are… Read more »

6864. For when the Lord was in the world, He first made His Human Divine Truth, which is the same as the law of God, then after that He completely glorified His Human and made it Divine Good, the difference between Divine Truth and Divine Good being like that between the light radiated from the sun and the fire within the sun. Principle: The process of regeneration begins with learning spiritual truths and when they are lived, they become part of one’s being and aligned with Divine Love.Task: Try to understand what stands behind those words.

Summary:I looked at it from the perspective of the process of regeneration, as the life of Jesus Christ provides the model of this process. We need to be taught spiritual truths to help us change our ways and create the right conditions for metanoia, a renewing of the mind. So we endeavour to become seekers after truth, to value truth, and embody truth. Embodying truth is to live it. To walk the talk. In walking the talk we are putting God’s will before our will. We acknowledge there is a Higher Life that enables us to exist and be of use… Read more »

6876 [2] The Divine which was of the Ancient Church was the Lord as to the Divine Human; the Ancient Church had this from the Most Ancient, and also from the fact that Jehovah was seen by them in a human form. When therefore they thought of Jehovah, they did not think of a universal entity, of which they could have had no idea, but of the Human Divine, into which they could determine their thought; for in this way they could both think of Jehovah and be conjoined with Him by love. Those who were of the Ancient Church,… Read more »

Text: 6863 Principle: those who belong to the Lords spiritual church, cannot be brought into subjection by those steeped and falsities because the Lord takes care of them. There is only an endeavor not an actual bringing into subjection. Task: Act as if I love my neighbor as myself (the spiritual church) and notice when my proprium is endeavoring to oppress and remember that it actually can’t. Focus on interactions with other people. Submission: I found that remembering to do this task made a quiet space in my mind to really listen to the person I’m talking with while I… Read more »

6879. For the first feature of the Church is that God exists and that He is to be worshipped. The first thing about Him that one should know is that He has created all things and that every created thing is kept in being by Him.
Task: Remember this every day.

6880: I AM WHO I AM: That this signifies the being and coming forth of all things in the universe is evident from the fact that ‘I AM’ is being,, and because He alone is being, it is said in the nominative case. That it is twice said, “I AM” that is “I AM WHO I AM” is because one signifies being and the other coming forth….”

Task: the whole number 6880 seems impossible to draw away from, so the task is simply to read and reflect on this each day; and sit with the wonder of it.

Submission: This task has been and is “the holy ground” (6845) and “the morning which follows the night”(6829). There is a glimmer of understanding given by the questions asked. What is meant by ‘Being’ when it is said “this signifies the being and coming forth of all things in the universe”? In themselves the words carry enormous power, but if brought to a personal level, is there any sense (in me) of a centralised ‘formation’ other than proprium? Is Being present when there is consciousness of Presence; and a consolidation, a temenos, where truths are stored and concentrated….and loved? And… Read more »

AC 6866: .. for in spiritual and heavenly things it is unlikeness of state that causes removal and absence, and it is likeness of state that causes approach and presence; and it is love that makes likeness and unlikeness. AC 6872: [2] ..Every man’s quality is known from his love; for love is the being of the life of everyone, from it springing the veriest life itself; such therefore as the love is with a man, such is the man. If there is the love of self and of the world, consequently the love of revenge, of hatred, of cruelty,… Read more »

I spend far too much time identifying with, and blaming my “self” for the presence of spirits and states that are Not of the Lord.
Observe their presence, and their incessant chatter, and turn aside to the holy ground of the burning bush.
