The puppet image was an example of reacting mechanically with no life. The other image that presented was seeing the back of a young male crouched down drawing a line in the sand. The face wasn’t visible. The person is living and the response is from within. This revealing light is in relation to a particular part of my life, to draw a line in the sand is not give life to proprial states that arise so they don’t hurt or impact on others. I had never tried to think exactly what makes a spiritual life and so I was fascinated with this description of what it is. It is the life flowing from the Divine and into us but, to lead a spiritual life we have to respond, accept and receive it. Submission: Daily engagement and reflection on 6674 has been enormously helpful. Questions continually coming up, asking what some of these phrases mean, then trying to deepen my relationship with their meaning; to deepen my love…..it seems necessary to balance the rubbish in myself I’m facing. I notice that the qualities contained in faith and charity are sacred, are the Lord, and cannot be separated from the Lord, although I feel them as my own.
