A comment on the nature of the Word and that all that it contains unfolds what must come to pass for the human mind to be regenerated
Seeking to make the Lord God Jesus Christ visible in our midst… "Where two or three are gathered together in My name there am I in the midst of them." (Matt. 18:20)
Is it fair to assume that my struggle to sometimes understand the Word may just be my proprium resisting the change that is necessary?
I think that’s a fair assumption – which is why we need an objective standard on which to base our practice this being the Word who governs all things in relation to what needed so far as shifts in our states/spiritual associations are concerned.
Hi David, Thank you for this reminder on what the WORD indicates must be seen and dealt with. What has emerged over the last few weeks highlights the reality that I am currently in a state of proprial “Captivity”. At times it is mild, yet there are periods where I am definitely being emotionally dragged off to Babylon. The intensity has certainly ramped up since Wellesley passed last year. Keeping busy and attempting to be useful definitely helps. The babylonians rear their ugly heads in times of emotional emptiness. Hi Ian, we see we are captive – we are asked to give up our captivity – but we fear that in giving it up we will lose our life – then, when the time is right we step into the void of not-knowing only to discover that perfect love casts out all fear and we receive back a hundredfold what we thought we had lost.
