One of the ways the proprium “digs its claws in” is to become very impatient when I read the WORD. “IT” tries to get me to either hurry up, or it interjects with reminders of things that need to be done. Yesterday it was, ” …come on man, hurry up. You have 9 notifications on Facebook”!!

Hi Ian. I always wonder when that happens “hmm there must be something really good or particularly important for me in what I’m approaching and the proprium is trying extra hard to distract me!” Even if I only recognise it after the fact , at least I can go back to it and try again.
