“In the present”… that statement brought to mind something I’d not considered before, that all true ideas, even if arrived at from personal experience with the Word are by definition actually historical if they are something we’re remembering rather than doing in the moment. However, all those things surely on some level are doing work for us to the extent they were originally meaningful.
