ACV7 Session 12: Some Points Drawn from Round 2

  • The Lord is always ahead of us in our task
  • When I go against the truth that I believe in, I feel ill at ease.
  • Looking into the natural level of a story stops me being able to see the inner application of the Word but when I look to connect the meaning to life I feel closer to the Lord.
  • When we feel the Word working in us we can cope with difficult aspects of life.
  • When we do go through difficult times, faith in the word and in the work keep us grounded
  • The process involved in the marrying of good and truth is not always plain sailing.
  • Self needs to step aside to allow the Lord to flow through us.
  • That rational, natural and sensuous levels need to be in correspondence for wellness to be a feature of our mental life.
  • The Lord’s Providence can be seen and recognized as we connect with Him through the Text and our task.
  • We can see disorderly states when we take a look at what’s going on after accepting or acknowledging a truth as true
  • Charity equals mercy.
  • When we apply a truth to the life of our mind, it can bring a sense of discomfort
  • Within the word is the strength, comfort, and direction to help us cope with any state thrown at us on any level, if we are willing to trust it and apply it to our inner life
  • The text brings an awareness of correspondences that can help us to see what the Lord offers us.
  • Trying to see the text in action can bring up things or allows the Lord to show us or awakens in us things that may be uncomfortable for us.
  • Mindfulness of the Lord heightens the awareness of our states
  • Awareness of the Lord’s truth brings a clearer picture of our states
  • The hellish proprium looks for multiple reasons to resist influx and to resist seeing it and resists allowing it to enable good and this is its nature and that it will never change.
  • Colour flows out of our mind and heart in joyous celebration when we are in the Lord’s influx of love.
  • We may feel His guidance in the moment and we see it in hindsight.
  • The word build solid foundations upon which his temple in us can stand and they lived and worked in,
  • Signs of discomfort indicate that the proprium of self is ruling or attempting to.
  • We can only stand back and see this when the words truth is strong and bright and exposing it in a spotlight for what it really is.
  • The Lord’s mercy brings reflection and quiet gratitude.
  • The state of being asleep to the Lord is part of the process of being brought into order.
  • The word expands our perceptions of the nature of the Lord
  • The introduction of new truths from the Word stirs the waters and creates tension and when the Word is seen as the Lord working in us it is then known as mercy itself
  • The Lord’s love provides peace, reassurance and internal calm when it rules in our heart. We are in rest in the Lord when this happens.
